Just like Richard Turere from the “Lion Light” video had to think scientifically and creatively to design a way to save his family’s livestock, you are being given a challenge as well. Your table team has a problem or situation on a notecard. You need to work together to solve this problem using only the supplies that are in your Problem Box.
Follow-Up Questions
- You need to use at least 3 different items from the Problem Box to make your solution product. You want it to be as good of an actual working model as possible.
- You need to give your product a name.
- Each of you will need to answer the follow-up questions in your notebooks.
- One member from your team will briefly present the problem and the model to the class at the end of the period.
Follow-Up Questions
- What was one hypothesis that you made in this problem solving process?
- What does your team's product look like? Draw it and label its parts.
- What is the name of your product, and why did you give it this name?
- What was the most difficult aspect of the Problem Box Lab Activity?
- What ONE device, supply, tool, etc. would have made it easier to create your product and why?
